This piece was produced for “Improvfest 2020” hosted International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation, in Guelph Canada (broadcast summer 2021).
In 2014 Raymond MacDonald began to collaborate with Artist Josephine Ganter to make a series of graphic scores.

Sensearound is a trio project with Shoeb Amhead and Alister Spence, Australian based musicians with whom Raymond MacDonald has toured Europe, Australia and Japan since 2014. They specialise in improvised electronics, prepared Fender Rhodes, loops, samples, improvised samples and ethereal melodies.
A duo with Maria Sappho that developed during lockdown in 2020 that specialises both in live improvised piano and saxophone performances and in creating short audio visual compositions where the images are just as important, and blended with, the music.
Raymond MacDonald and Rachel Joy Weiss (Miami) have never met, yet over the past 18 months (since 2020) they have created a series of short films and musical improvisation working remotely.
Raymond MacDonald is a founder member of the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra, a large improvising ensemble of around 20 musicians from diverse artistic backgrounds ranging from free improvisation, jazz, classical, folk, pop, and experimental musics to performance art.
George Burt and Raymond MacDonald are the leaders of the Burt MacDonald Quartet. The band is a jazz-based outlet for their compositions, their songwriting, their arrangements and their guests.
Scarecrows and Lighthouses is a collaboration with Turner Prize winning visual artist Martin Boyce and Oscar nominated film director David MacKenzie. The project is based in Glasgow and began in 2010 with a focus on improvisation and collaboration between the fields of film making, music and sculpture.
